Mindful Journey

Winning and losing isn’t everything; sometimes, the journey is just as important as the outcome.”  ~ Alex Morgan

Remember to take some time along the way to notice where you are right now.

Admire the flowers, find animals in the clouds, marvel at the tree root, and smell the clean air after a thunderstorm.

We can get so focused on the destination that we forget to pay attention to the here and now.

Mindful journeying relishes the little things that often go unnoticed along the way.

The little things that can bring great joy or simple peace to an otherwise hectic day.

Have you ever watched a bird searching for a worm?

Or a squirrel digging for a nut hidden months ago?

How about a caterpillar crawling across a leaf?

When we take a few moments to narrow our attention down to a moth’s journey across the yard, it can recharge our batteries.

It can restore a small sense of wonder to our sometimes jaded experience.

Allow yourself to be awed by simple pleasures and backyard treasures.
