Mindful Monday 5/7/18

Peace and happiness are an inside job. We are not dependent on outer peace to have inner peace. So start today, start now. Take a few minutes to focus your attention on your inner world.

Take long, slow, deep breaths.

In through the nose, out through the mouth, eyes soft. Breathe

Fill the belly with your breath. Breathe

Ground your energy into the earth. Breathe

Fill your pelvic bowl with earth energy. Breathe

Allow that energy to spread throughout your body. Breathe

Focus on your heart and feel your energy build and radiate out. Breathe

Slowly take 6 more deep breaths, allowing your heart energy to expand as far as you can. Breathe

Allow your heart energy to fill the room, the building, the neighborhood. Breathe

Be a beacon of light and love.

Roll your shoulders, wiggle your fingers and make an effort to hang on to this feeling throughout your day. If you feel so inclined, spread it around by smiling at the strangers you pass on the street. Compliment your co-workers, laugh at silly jokes, remember that people are inherently good and choose to see that today despite what they are showing you. Be a force for peace and compassion for all.
