Mindful Monday 1/30/17

“I encourage you, to take control – to take back your power.
Make the time and
effort to invest in yourself. Self-care and healing.
Taking time for stillness and contemplation. Reflect on your own behavior.
Decide what kind of person you want to be and then take the steps to be that person.”

~ Akiroq Brost

Do you know what saps your energy? Is it the daily routine of life that drains you? Maybe it is sudden change or conflict that throws you off your game. We all have limits and we all need time for renewal. We are in strange and interesting times. We require some down time away from screens, the 24-hour news cycle, family and work obligations in order to find our center. Pay too close attention to the rhetoric and we can feel overwhelmed, scared, angry, and hopeless.

Take an hour a day to shut off all devices, go for a walk, meditate, have coffee with a friend and renew your spirit. We all need to find the time for self-care. We can make excuses and they may even be legit but what we truly value and find important, we always make time for in our lives. And if you are not something you value and find important, well start there and see what may need to change so you can become a priority. You deserve your own love and attention. Renew and restore so you can meet what life brings you with calm and centered resolve.
