I once heard a spiritual teacher explain that your point of power is in the present. We can only affect our lives by being fully engaged in the moment, each and every moment.

We often find ourselves mentally checking out of the present in order to manage our emotions. However, we only learn resilience by letting the world affect us.

Practice mindful presence and allow the moment to affect you. You will grow emotionally strong and nimble as a result.
